Using TomoTherapy, tumor sites are targeted with radiation in an innovative, helical fashion rather than with radiation beams at fixed angles. This provides an even dose distribution that is delivered with greater accuracy and precision. This enables the treatment of many complex cancer sites, while sparing healthy tissue.
