Announcement for Sturgis Patients

Dear Patient:
As a patient of the West Michigan Cancer Center, Sturgis Hospital Campus (referred to in this letter as “the Sturgis Clinic”), we are writing to inform you that the Sturgis Clinic will be closing on Friday, January 11, 2019. This is part of a reorganization occurring at Sturgis Hospital. You may continue your treatment at the Sturgis Clinic until Friday, January 11, 2019. Beginning January 15, 2019, there will be a new operator of the Clinic and you will be able to transfer your care to the new providers at that point. More details will be forthcoming in the near future.

If you would like to continue seeing Dr. Bivins or Dr. Tokala, you may do so at West Michigan Cancer Center in Kalamazoo. Their phone number is (269)382-2500. If the commute to Kalamazoo is too far for you, West Michigan Cancer Center has a satellite clinic at Three Rivers Health in Three Rivers. Their phone number is (269) 273-9691.

If you have another center in mind, you may contact that center to transfer your care. Wherever you choose to transfer your care, we will be happy to assist you in the process and, if necessary, transfer any records required. Following the closure, your records will be stored at the West Michigan Cancer Center and can be accessed by contacting them at (269)-382-2500.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Sturgis Clinic at (269) 625-9132 and speak with Kelli Glick (Beers) or Laurel Northrup.

On behalf of the West Michigan Cancer Center, Sturgis Hospital Campus, we want to thank you for the trust you have placed in us. We have been honored to participate in your care, and we wish you all the best.
