We are pleased to announce that Dr. Simon A. Brown has joined the radiation oncology team at West Michigan Cancer Center Radiation & Surgical Specialties. Dr. Brown comes to Kalamazoo from Springfield, IL, where he served as a radiation oncologist and assistant professor for three years at Southern Illinois University.
Dr. Brown received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, and completed his radiation oncology residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. He is trained in classic and modern radiation oncology including treatment with 3D conformal RT, electrons, IMRT/VMAT, SRS, SBRT and brachytherapy. Dr. Brown treats all disease sites but specializes in GI and GU malignancies. He is excited to collaborate and provide the best multi-disciplinary care to all cancer patients. Dr. Brown is board certified in radiation oncology and is certified by the American Board of Medical Quality. He is an active member of the American College of Radiation Oncology.
