When it comes to nutrition, we often talk about what is on our plate and how we can make better choices for improving our overall health. But, there are also considerations ‘beyond the table’, and that is our focus in March as we recognize National Nutrition Month.

Two board certified, fellowship-trained surgeons have joined the WMCC gynecologic surgery and oncology team, providing area women diagnosed with benign and cancerous conditions expanded access and options for care.

People with an elevated risk of pancreatic cancer can seek support, guidance and specialized services from a new clinic at WMCC. The clinic is a led by Gitonga Munene, MD, a board certified surgical oncologist who has extensive experience in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery.

Dr. Yettaw Luts, a Battle Creek native, is a board certified, fellowship-trained gynecologist with a focus practice designation in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS).
