Laurence McCahill, MD

Laurence McCahill is a board certified surgical oncologist at WMCC.
 
Dr. McCahill has 25 years of experience, specializing in benign and malignant skin cancer and breast diseases. He leads our comprehensive melanoma and skin cancer clinic, a collaboration of West Michigan Cancer Center Radiation & Surgical Specialties (WMCC) and Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed). Dr. McCahill is a professor of surgery at WMed and sees patients in the new clinic at WMCC. As a board-certified general surgeon, Dr. McCahill also performs surgery for benign and malignant breast diseases.
 
Dr. McCahill specializes in melanoma and other advanced skin cancers including locally advanced squamous cell and basal cell cancers, Merkel cell melanoma, and other skin cancers that require a more extensive surgical approach than typically offered at a dermatology office. Over the course of his career, Dr. McCahill has treated more than 800 melanoma patients, including 500+ in the West Michigan area in the last decade.
