We love our volunteers.
Volunteers are the heart of the WMCC team. Our volunteers work together with staff and donors in our common mission to defeat cancer. WMCC volunteers are dedicated, compassionate people of all ages who make a shining difference in the lives of our patients. Some of our volunteers have defeated cancer themselves and want to pay forward their gratitude, while others may just have a service or talent they want to share. Whatever your reasons for volunteering, you can look forward to a richly rewarding experience.
Volunteer Opportunities
Information & Requirements
To apply for a volunteer position at WMCC, you must be at least 18 years of age and submit an application that includes a background check. A candidate’s individual interests and talents are strongly considered in the placement process. Most volunteer placements occur during WMCC’s regular business hours–Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm. Occasionally, volunteers assist with fundraising events. There are some roles that require a commitment to a regularly scheduled shift weekly or monthly for a minimum period of one year. Others are more intermittent with a flexible work schedule.
