WMCC Achieves Accreditation with ACHC
West Michigan Cancer Center Radiation & Surgical Specialties (WMCC) proudly announces it has achieved accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for its gynecologic, radiation and surgical oncology services.
Accreditation is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate high quality of care and compliance with national standards. Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting industry best practices that facilitate a higher level of performance, clinical outcomes, and patient care.
“WMCC consistently strives for high quality care and this new accreditation through the ACHC proves the commitment that we have to providing the safest, highest quality, and overall best care possible to our patients and the community.” said Bridget VandenBussche, CPHRM, executive director of WMCC.
Founded in 1994, WMCC is a not-for-profit collaboration of Ascension Borgess and Bronson Healthcare. The center offers comprehensive, multi-disciplinary and integrative cancer treatment to patients in a nine-county region of Southwest Michigan. The center specializes in gynecologic, radiation and gynecology oncology services and operates a clinical research program in conjunction with the Cancer Research Consortium of West Michigan (CRCWM), a subsidiary of the National Cancer Institute Clinical Oncology Research Program.
ACHC is a nonprofit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986. WMCC is committed to maintain compliance with ACHC Accreditation Standards, so that our patient and community will benefit from our consistent operational efficiencies and ability to deliver high-quality patient care.
